bm6pm5 Posted June 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2018 When cruising from New Orleans do they wait to open the casino until in international waters?

CC Rider 69 Posted June 25, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 25, 2018 Was on the Dream in February and I believe they opened the casino after sail away. I think they can do that because La. has the so-called riverboat gambling laws.

DallasGuy75219 Posted June 25, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 25, 2018 The casino opens after sailaway but all the other restrictions while in U.S. waters apply until the ship reaches the Gulf, usually around midnight, i.e., they still have to charge sales tax on drinks, and the onboard shops remain closed the entire first night.
