  1. In 2018, we did an AA direct from IAH connecting in Charlotte to San Juan the day of sailing. Left early, landed in SJ around 4ish. Took a taxi to port for a 10PM sailing on the Fascination. It was the best 6 port itinerary we've ever taken on Carnival. No problem at all and sailing out of SJ at night is awesome.
  2. PCL turned Churchills into an arcade on the Regal, bummer. No further comments on this subject from me.
  3. One 750ml bottle of wine per adult passenger. BTW, have you seen the way your luggage is thrown about by long shoreman and crew? That your wine aboard in a carry-on or your clothes might smell like your favorite wine.
  4. Last year on the Ruby out of GLS, Princess drink package kicked in as soon as we hit international waters, if you sail at 3, your package will start about 1 1/2 - 2 hours later. Prior to that due to TABC laws you are required to purchase Texas alcoholic beverages (those paying Texas tax). You are also charged for those. Most people use their OBC for those purchases, however we bring a couple of bottles of wine which suits us fine.
  5. This is done after you have clear CBP and down towards the exit. They only ask if you bought any liquor, they do not search. As for you, YMMV
  6. Not just PCL, CCL out of Texas doesn't start their drink package until the 2nd day. IDNK when the mouse or NCL starts their package. One can only guess it might be CCL wants the passengers to pay the liquor tax and not them. The saga continues............................
  7. Please see if they have Caymus Wine/Dinner Event on the Regal, and what are they using Churchill's for now a day. Thanks.
  8. He's on Carnival Dream, docking as we speak in Galveston.
  9. As I have it, no traditional dining (6 & 😎 on Princess. It's open, make your MDR reservations via the Princess APP. It's really easy, and yes you can do CG on there as well.
  10. Can you still buy the casino cash vouchers? We did that in 2019, when we got to our room the vouchers were there. You take them, a form or ID to the casino window and get your cash.
  11. This past weekend's (1-14-24) sailing was lines down very close to 3pm.
  12. I just bid on a forward mini w/ reserve collection on the Regal for fun. Gave them a fare bid that I could live with, we'll see it they accept. I do like the little meter they have letting you know if you bid is weak, mild, strong, etc.
  13. Actually, if you have time and have a vehicle drive over to San Leon and try Top Water Grill. There are a couple of other but the names escape me right now.
  14. Katies down by Pier 21 for fresh local seafood.. Sunflower Cafe or Mosquito Cafe for breakfast.
  15. We did that one, minus the first two ports on the Carnival Fascination in May 2018 out of San Juan. With all the back-to-back port calls, we were totally exhausted by the end of the cruise but loved it.
  16. Craps is $5 or $10, depending on the time of day and demand. They only allow 2X odds.
  17. If you get a chance, check on the status of Churchill's. Open, closed, what are they go to do with it? TIA
  18. Totally understand, saw Seifried and Roy in LV back in the 80"s. Still don't know how they got those doors tigers to disappear.
