sunhoney64 Posted June 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2018 One of our stops is in Port Canaveral. Have you taken a cab/uber to the beach? If so, which one is the closest. Not much we want to see there.:confused:
Capt_BJ Posted June 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2018 one of the nicest - and most popular with local folks - is actually connected to the port: Jetty Park If your visiting ship parks at terminal 1 (RCL) this is even walkable …. otherwise a short ride Jetty Park is adjacent to the south jetty of the port. Once on the beach here you could walk nearly 40 miles south on unbroken beach to Sebastian Inlet … At Jetty Park you'll find concessions with food (operated by Fish Lips one of the port area popular spots), showers, rentals, life guards (seasonal) and a long fishing pier. https://www.portcanaveral.com/Recreation/Jetty-Park-Beach-Pier b4 discounting the area tho have you considered: KSC tours Manatee/dolphin tours … eco kayak tours airboat rides surfing lessons Brevard Zoo Tree Top Trek (zip line) Cocoa Pier Cocoa Village

EatonDoolittle Posted June 28, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 28, 2018 Thank you! Agree with Capt BJ. Not only are there many things to do here, but you did not mention what time of year you were coming. You might want to review options other than the beach. In winter, we can get temps between 40c and 70c, and unlike South Florida, ideal beach weather is not given. SteerageJoe Posted June 28, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 28, 2018 The ocean is packed with Canadians swimming in January!!! So it depends where you come from! But yes, there has to be plan B on beach day!
