I recently purchased one too - but now don't think it will work on the ship because of its size and configuration. I do have the USB charger issue solved with an Anker 26800 hand held PowerCore which will easily charge three devices with power left over. No external power required except when charging the PowerCore itself- which doesn't take long. Still exploring the "extra outlet" options that won't be taken away from me.

I didn't want to deal with all the Surge Suppression issues.
