OnlineMom Posted January 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2006 Forgive me if this is a silly question - I'm still a novice. We're going on our first cruise in about 2 months (aboard the Caribbean Princess). I'm predicting that we're going to LOVE it and am contemplating a November cruise on the Diamond Princess. They say that they have 4 categories of minisuites - AA, AB, AC and AD. (The AE suites say "N/A" - not sure if that means they're not available or not applicable for that particular ship.) Anyway - the AA-AD mini-suites are on either Dolphin or Emerald deck and vary in price by just a few hundred dollars. Can someone here explain to me the differences in the rooms? Description and square footage are identical... Thanks in advance.
chrysalis Posted January 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2006 prices for identical rooms are different for different loctions on the ship...the higher the deck, the higher the price...the more towards midships (instead of front or back of ship), the higher the price. Beryl Posted January 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2006 The mini suites on Emerald deck are covered and on Dolphin deck they are open. Sometimes Princess holds back the Diamond AE minisuites for upgrades or sells them as guarantee only. If you ever see them available grab one!!! There are only 2 of these minisuites available and the balconies are huge!!!
