Shipboard Wifi for Nanny Cam?

Has anyone tried accessing a nanny cam through a phone app while onboard a ship? I'm sure streaming video wouldn't work, but for the cameras that let you take a quick snapshot or something, does it work through their wifi?

No, the nanny cam will be at home. We want to be able to check it while onboard.

No idea about a nanny cam, but I share photos with WhatsApp with people back home. So pictures do go through. I’m just not sure about the application with the nanny cam. I know that doesn’t help much but I guess my point is, pictures can be sent through the ships WiFi.

We have a nanny cam that uses an app to access it and ours worked. We had the value WiFi plan which works with most phone apps.

We were able to use our Ring Doorbell Pro onboard no problems. Middle internet package worked great for our online business also.

Thanks for sharing the info. That's good to know. We also have Ring doorbell and Arlo cameras. We are debating if we should get the value or premium plan. If value plan will work, then we might just get that to try.

Yes, I have an indoor Nest camera and with the Premium plan I didn't have any problems logging in.

 

(Don't laugh, but I also have Hue Lights and logged in to my lights and turned them on at night and off in the morning! And I'm sure I confused my neighbors by changing the colors of the lights each night!)

We were able to see our home security cameras while on the cruise ship. We usually get the value package also. We were able to chat through what’s app too and iMessage.
