RTV Man Posted July 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2018 I know it says to submit 3 weeks out for the OBC, but how long does it actually take? I was lazy and put it off and we leave in just over a week. Hoping to get it, but if not, I know it’s my fault. I was just wondering how long it usually takes. Been a couple yrs since last time and I don’t remember. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Life_Traveler Posted July 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2018 We do it as soon as we book the cruise unless its later than April the next year. Carnival reserves the rights to revoke this privilege and they vote every April. If you have a cruise in May you have to wait till April to apply or they will reject it and tell you to wait and see if carnival renews it. They always do its more of a technicality. We have done it as far as 10 months in advance and as little as 2 weeks. It only takes them about 2 to 3 days to apply it if you email them the info. I used guestadmin@carnival.com This is not Carnival' s recommended way but my office does not have a working fax. Just make sure only your carnival stock info shows. SadieN Posted July 13, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 13, 2018 Do it now. We fax ours in. Can take two days, can take longer. You might or might not get an email. Check your cruise documents. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
skiorcruise Posted July 15, 2018 #9 Share Posted July 15, 2018 I always carry a copy of my latest brokerage statement with me on the cruise just in case the credit is not applied. Never had to use it, even though I have requested it within one week of sailing in the past.
scrantsj Posted July 15, 2018 #10 Share Posted July 15, 2018 I've submitted a week out. But I also had booked the cruise that day. Normally, I try to do it a few weeks out. Which reminds me, I need to submit one for my August cruise. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
thinfool Posted July 15, 2018 #11 Share Posted July 15, 2018 Can someone share the email address to submit proof? I am not able to locate this on carnival website.thank you. This is because email is not the 'official' way to submit a request. Fax or snail mail. If you have no fax machine, a service like http://faxzero.com (free) works well for a lot of folks. That may be true, but I've had no problem emailing my pdf file & having them respond that it's been received. Just easier for me to email.
RTV Man Posted August 2, 2018 Author #13 Share Posted August 2, 2018 Just as a FYI. I submitted my request 10 days before my cruise and received confirmation 6 days before. Can’t say this will always happen, but good to know if you procrastinate, you can still get it. Sent from my iPad using Forums
lostsoulcruiser Posted August 2, 2018 #14 Share Posted August 2, 2018 I use the website Free Fax to submit mine. I had confirmation the next day of submission. I usually submit mine about 2 months out. Thanks, I'll try it on my next cruise. That reminds me, I need to schedule a cruise.
