Help us decide...regal E202 deck 8 or M129 or M130 on deck 15

We are sailing in early October and are booked in E202 cabin. We are now wondering if we want to switch to higher floor and in the same category there are 2 cabins available on marina deck 15. Neither of us have motion sickness issues. Is deck 15 level with bridge or below? We are so excited, haven’t been on princess in many years and have never been to the northeast and up to Canada so looking forward to our trip in the fall.

The cabins on Marina are adjoining cabins with a connecting door.

This was added during dry-dock, with some reports that these new adjoining doors are not soundproof enough????

They will have a bigger-deeper overhang.

I am not sure, but the over hang might not be as much as the cavernous overhang on Deck 15 if one is under the pool-deck/public areas?

E202 is next to that one cabin that has the extended balcony that is built out over the utility room/box on Promenede below.

So, you will see that, and there is the possibility that they could look over onto your balcony. So, not as private.

Hope this helps!

Thanks much for the info...question on port side shows 222 square feet and door block when sofa or upper berth in use and other side shows 303 square feet and nothing about sofa or upper birth blocking door. Is that accurate you think? They look the same size ... I realize square feet includes balcony. We will have. 3rd person in cabin so plan on using sofa as the bed.

I fully believe that these to Deluxe Balconies are the same size.

the Princess web-site is bad for these discrepancies! The web-site that I am accessing shows both the same.

M129 shows the little triangle symbol for the third (pullout)

M130 shows the red circle symbol for pull-down berth(s). In case you wanted to keep that option open.

I am assuming that the little sofa in both cabins is a pullout. I think that they would all have to be pullout.

I see photos taken from the Royal Princess where the overhang on those forward Marina cabins is about standard, the overhang from the Sun Deck, above that, Is way wider. Really kind of neat, since you would benefit from some shade/protection, but not have that deep overhang right over your head.

Happy planning!

Just personal preference but I always choose cabins on deck 8 on Regal and Royal. So much activity is in the piazza area on decks 5,6, and 7: dining rooms, Alfrredos, theaters, shops, casino, international cafe, and if you are on deck 8 it is easy to use the stairs to get up and down. Elevators can sometimes be slow. Deck 15 is one deck below pools and buffet. If you see yourself using those a lot, then that deck is a good choice.

Thank you both for great information...we decided to go with M130. Deck 8 is great location for convenience for sure but decided we wanted to be alittle higher but needed same category and I think the overhang will provide shade or rain protection if needed. 🤗🤗

We did wondered if noise from the theater would be a factor so that was part of our reasoning in switching since where we are on deck 15 there is only cabins above and below us . It’s all good 🤗
