spcl4cs_gal Posted July 28, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2018 Heading out on the Eclipse in March, 2019 and would like to know if it is best to book reservations in advance or wait until we are on the ship? Would it be Canadian $$ if things were booked in advance? Thanks.
gerelmx Posted July 28, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2018 Al purchases in your cruise planner are done in the same currency of your booking. Financially it is uncertain to know if right now or later, it is better, right now the CAD and MXN are appreciating, but if the negotiation of the NAFTA fails, it will devalue again. The speciality dining packages are about 30% less than booking individually. The 4 night package is $125pp or $31.25 per dinner. The 3 & 4 night packages can sell out. If you are only looking to do 1 speciality restaurant tge Cruise Planner should have a 30% off for the 1st night in Murano & Tuscan As to a drink package, I wouldn’t purchase one pre cruise unless they are having a sale, which they do periodically. Without a sale the price is the same on the ship as in the Cruise Planner. I would suggest once on tge ship you go to a bar you think you will frequent regularly and buy the package from one of the bartenders- they get an incentive for selling the package & it never hurts to have the bartender remember you.
