Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Kon Tiki in Papeete?

Just wondering if anyone has ever stayed at this hotel. We're getting in late and will leave early the next morning for Moorea before our TP cruise, so don't need anything fancy, just safe and clean. It's supposedly right across from the ferry docks. Thanks for any info.

I have been looking at Te Tiare. I have read good reports about it and Le Mandarin, but haven't really heard anything about Kon Tiki. where will you be staying on Moorea?

I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! We requested the waterfront fare on the end, I believe it was called the Tiare. It is the most private being on the end. we thought the food was very good, but don't do what we did the first day there. we orderd the tourist menu, you will do better just ordering off the regular menu. we Loved the breakfasts there!!! The Aito restaurant next door was very good for dinner also. more expensive, but good.
