[g]cruiserke Posted August 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2018 In my cruise planner for our Edge NYE cruise, there is a type of shore excursion called "Captain's Club Exclusive". According to the description, this is a new type of excursion. It's supposedly open only to CC members and also offers "upgraded transportation and debarkation". There's only one of these available on our December cruise, for our Puerto Rico stop, and this is the full description, with highlights on the program specific features: Bringing exclusive experiences to our loyal Captains' Club guests, Celebrity has created a new shore excursion program just for members. In this interactive tour, you'll go behind the bar and master the mojito. First, you'll receive a welcome cocktail at the Bat Bar Pavilion. Next, visit the distillery and discover the history and craft of making the world's most awarded rum. Finally, a Bacardí specialist will guide you through mixing three classic rum cocktails as you use your own bar set up. This experience includes hands-on practice with shakers, jiggers, mint and more. You will prepare classic cocktails as you practice bar skills, learn each drink's history and the Bacardí way to prepare mojito, daiquiri and rum and cola. Enjoy cocktails you make yourself and return home with new skills. On this Captain's Club exclusive, you'll experience an exclusive tour that offers the best of Bacardi, as well as upgraded transportation and debarkation. Rare chemmo Posted August 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2018 I don’t really understand why they are selling this as some sort of ‘exclusive’...on most cruises nearly all cruisers are Captains Club members so could book. The only guests who could not access would be first time X cruisers who haven’t previously cruised RC or Azamara ....It doesn’t state you have to be at a certain CC level or offer a discount for guests at higher levels. I really don’t get it.....

Bo1953 Posted August 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2018 I would venture to say that it is a very limited in its' capacity. bon voyage
kittyluvrnurse Posted August 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2018 They are a lot more likely to pander to the suite guest before pandering to the very loyal in the captains club Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rare cruisestitch Posted August 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 10, 2018 The evidence suggests otherwise, since there are not, at this time, any shore excursions exclusively for suite passengers.
Threedrones Posted August 10, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 10, 2018 We have the same type of offering on our Southern Caribbean in October. We are considering it hoping that the upgraded transportation and more limited capacity is real and not a gimmick. We never did enjoy the squeezing in of as many as possible no matter the (un)comfort level.
