we our taking partial transit cruise in panama o October 27th any advise on ports of call and excursions

Does the ship only go halfway through and then able to turn around??

The ship will go thru three locks and then into the lake. Stays n the lake until the appointed time they have, then goes back thru the same locks. It's an awesome experience. We were on the Miracle April 14 partial transit. They have someone narrating the whole time thru the locks. We stayed on our balcony starboard side, and it was also shown on the room tv so you could see what was going on ahead. Just before entering the first lock,there were some trees a little distance away and there were several howler monkeys in the tree.

 

We didn't do any excursions this trip. They will have souviners available on lido deck after going thru the locks if you want something. T-shirts were a hot item!

There are no excursions for Panama or the Canal.

 

They will have a big sale on the Lido deck with items from Panama... Be sure to get there early or you will not get anything... It was CRAZY, but worth the crowd to get some cool Panama keepsakes...

The partial doesn't go all the way through the canal. The full goes from Florida to California - or vice versa
