Crusinsusan2 Posted August 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2018 Question for any of you familiar with airport to pier transfers @ Seatac. Leaning toward a cab or town car service that doesn't break the bank rather than ship transfer or shuttle. We land on the 27th @ 8:30 am. Any reasonable recommendations/approximate cost that would allow us to stop to get our two bottles of Vino and a few soda's and where best to have a driver stop along the way? Thanks in advance if anyone can weigh in on this.
CruiserBruce Posted August 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2018 This is discussed regularly on the West Coast Departures board. You will need either a taxi, town car or Uber. All will be happy to stand by, you just need to compensate them. Just tell them up front what you plan to do.
Galley Slave Posted August 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2018 There are Metropolitan Markets on the way or near the pier. One is at 100 Mercer and one at 3830-34th West in Seattle. The one on Mercer is on the way, the other one a little beyond the port. Taxi should know which to use, traffic should not be too bad but there are a lot of closures in Seattle on weekends for road repairs. Lots of smoke from forest fires this week! Crusinsusan2 Posted August 16, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted August 16, 2018 Thanks Galley, appreciate the Metropolitan Market location(s) info. Yep, we are smoked/ashed here in So Cal too. Hoping for a good summer monsoon rain for all.
just_cruising_along Posted August 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2018 There is a Total Wine located at Port 106 Interbay Center, 1550 W Armory Way, which is .6 miles away from the cruise ship terminal. You can order and pay for your beverages online (in advance) and just pick it up while your ride waits. Have a good cruise.
Crusinsusan2 Posted August 16, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted August 16, 2018 Thank you all, went to West Coast board (didn't know it existed until suggested here) Booked a town car R/T with a beverage stop on the way!
g>ravel Posted August 16, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 16, 2018 We recently used Lyft to do this. Just told the driver what we wanted to do and made the stop near SEATAC and were then on our way. To find Lyft or Uber, follow signage to Taxi stand and cross over to Lyft/Uber pickup area nearby. We received really good service from Lyft. Five minutes was the longest wait we had for the four times we used them in Seattle.
