Current Blackjack Starting Table Limit

Hello all - my husband and I leave Saturday on the Conquest. We've cruised most all of the mainstream lines. However, it's been a while since we were on Carnival. In general, can you tell me the blackjack starting table limit (price per hand). Thanks in advance for your kind help.

Generally speaking $5 or $10 for blackjack paying 6:5 depending on how busy the casino is, $25 blackjack paying 3:2, $6 for Fun 21. This is a variant of blackjack with all the jacks removed. Payouts and basic strategy vary from regular blackjack.

I don't play fun 21 and it's been $6 for the lowest blackjack on the ships I've been on. It's blackjack with a sidebet and you can do $5 and $1 on the side bet or just bet $6 but you have to bet $6 total. That's what's been on all of the ships I've been on. Haven't been on Dream yet but I will be next week.

You'll have no problem getting a seat at that table. Now the $6 blackjack table...stays packed.

You are correct. the minimum was $6. I forgot about that side bet.

In March we watched a lady win $10,000 on that Fun 21 side bet. She had 2 Q of hearts and the dealer had black jack. paid 1,000 to 1 and had $10 buck on it.

I was just going to ask the same question. We were on Norwegian Sun last month and the lowest Black Jack table was $15. :( Glad to hear Carnival still has $6 tables.

I just had something similar at a land based casino. Was playing blackjack with side bet ($10) and was dealt a heart 7, another heart 7 and then the dealer showed a heart 7.... 200 to one - 3k!

 

One Premier Casino Cruises you will be lucky to find a $10 table, otherwise the cheapest is the $6 although I've seen a couple of Carnival ships with blackjack on a slot machine that was $3...

I watched it happen twice on a 7 night cruise. One time the person only had $1 on the bet and the other time the person wasn't playing the side bet.

$6 on the 6:5 tables. But you'll maximize your return with a $10 bet, not $6. Blackjacks pay 1.2:1 if you bet $10, but only 1.16:1 on a $6 bet since they round down.

I got one of those on the Splendor last year with a $5 bet -- I about fell off the chair!!
