Tram on Grand Turk?

My HAL excursions list a "Rainbow Calypso" tram. Is this like the Hop on/hop off busses I took in Europe? What I mean is that there were stops along the route. You get off where you want and then just pick up another tram to continue on.

HAL is showing it at $29.95 per person. Is this a good rate? Are the trams any good? Do they run fairly frequently, or will I be waiting for the tram a lot?

Would renting a golf cart be better?

From what I've heard from Carnival cruisers on a similar tour, this is NOT a hop on Hop Off type of tram, like in Europe. It I a tour of the island in an open air bus. Hits all the high spots. Cockburntown, lighthouse, salt flats. Not sure how long the stops are though. Driver/guides are supposedly as good as the taxi drivers who make excellent tour guides of the island. You can book this at the cruise port when you arrive too. For 2 people it's better than a golf cart. For 3 or more or if you wishing to spend time at places, a golf cart may a better option, but not by much, price wise.
