Simisimson Posted September 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2018 We are cruising on the Gem from Boston in March 2019 and need a hotel not too far from the port to stay one night, park and cruise from. Any suggestions?
1025cruise Posted September 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2018 There are no hotels near the port that offer a park and cruise. In fact, the hotels that do offer it are usually on the very outskirts. Where are you driving from? We usually recommend that you stay "en route" and just park at the pier. 138east Posted September 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2018 It looks like you're going on a 14 day cruise leaving March 29 and perhaps have mobility concerns. Where are you driving from? Parking for a 14 day cruise would be $21-30/ day. Parking options need to be researched carefully because you are outside the normal cruise season of April to October. Massport offers the $21 rate during the season, but the garage is over a mile away. There are Park/cruise options in Dorchester and Quincy. The Best Western Adams is offering a cruise package for $169 plus tax online. I would call the hotel directly to verify the details. This is a budget property. My husband stayed there once and gave it a 2.5* rating.
