Recommendation for hotel in New Orleans

WOW everyone thank you for the great suggestions. I finally went and reserved the Intercontinental New Orleans which I got at 157 CAD including breakfast for 2 people. Cancelled the Hilton which I had reserved. Will Uber from the hotel to the cruise port.

We've stayed at the Hilton Riverside and highly recommend it. There is a trolley stop nearby that we used to get around the city. You can walk through the mall to the port without going outside. Very convenient in all aspects. The room we have did not seem outdated at all.
