Excursion OBC use?

The Great Excape Sale will be open next week. Princess is offering an OBC for Excursions for 1 & 2 passengers and reduced price for 3 & 4.

 

I booked through Sun Drenched Sale and received $50/pp OBC for 1&2. There will be 3 in the cabin so the reduce price might help. We will be doing private tours for St Martin and St Thomas.

 

I know Princess has offered Excursions OBC before. Has anybody used their Excursions OBC for other things?

If I remember correctly, when this was offered in the past the Excursion OBC was really just a credit to your on-board account and could be used for anything, just like any OBC.

 

However, with Princess what happened in the past is not guaranteed to be the same in the future. I doubt anyone at the Princess 800 number would know the accurate answer.
