Pre dinner martinis and then first time we went to the dining room - it was a very good dinner though the dessert wasn’t the best. Once again we were exhausted and didn’t make it very late!707542fd4038e025d9b62b6e25ee4a99.jpgfdddd3c3f333b9c2f47412314684d933.jpg0b5e1340f8fbe9e5804f4a8776854022.jpg

Did you do only the city tour. Celebrity is doing a panoramic Adriatic tour lasting 6 hours visiting a few different cities for meals. Sounds good but might be a little long. Dubrovnik is supossed to be a quaint city.

We did Dubrovnik Food Tours - highly recommend!!

The next day came early again! We were in Kotor - the sail in was definitely worth watching. Another early day - so rooms service again, definitely not my favorite food on ship but gets the job done. This was a tender port but we got off around 7:30 and it was extremely easy, no waiting at all. Celebrity was the farthest ship out so about a 20 minute tender ride. It was a bit cool this morning, especially after our ride to the top of the mountain. Today was an all day tour of Montenegro. We started with a drive to the top of the mountain for a panoramic views. There were a few sprinkles at the top but beautiful view. Then off to a smokehouse for fresh smoked prosciutto. It was good though I prefer Italian prosciutto and Spanish jamón.

From smokehouse we went to a smaller town in interior Montenegro and walked around a bit.c2aba18bcb8f7b1951f46a745fe82557.jpg99d48128690400646daf72fb957f5960.jpg48f8e6bbb82c1fb7276de1ebf9c083df.jpg

Then more driving to a river/lake where we took a nice peaceful boat ride for around an hour.

Then onto a wonderful lunch. It was all really good but I don’t like looking my food in the eye so they filet it for me! Smoked carp, fish soup and trout.

Then off back to Kotor to catch a quick tour of old town.

The town wall was crazy steep!

We were exhausted so decided not to go to Qsine (and not horribly hungry). So my daughter and I went to the restaurant- my mom was exhausted so stayed in. This is a very busy/port intensive trip and we are looking forward to the sea day tomorrow. Dinner was very good!

My morning started of bright and early around 5. Just can’t sleep darn it! I went to the gym but it doesn’t open til 6 - why?? Think it should be 24x7. So walked the track on 11 for a bit over an hour. I was the only one out there for almost the whole time. It was quite windy but not to cold and peaceful. Sitting in the buffet now with some tea waiting to go back to my room as I don’t want to wake anyone up :)

Thanks for sharing your trip, I’ve been enjoying reading along and all the great pix. Two quick questions: 1) I noticed you did several food tours, was there a particular favorite? and 2) when you were docked at Zadar, did you take the ship sponsored excursion to Plitvce Lakes or use an independent company? I’d love to do the same when we’re there next summer but am concerned about the trip being too rushed/crowded and making it back to ship in time given the distance if we went independently, so any insights you can share would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance and enjoy the rest of your cruise!

Food tours - we aren’t done with them yet but so far the favorite by far was the one in Dubrovnik- having a true local took it over the top. He even took us by his home in the old town. And he was a very good guide along with good food.

Lakes - we did a private tour and they were very good with watching the time and changing it up a bit to make sure we were back on time.

Thank you for your reply. Would you mind sharing who you used for your Plitvce lakes tour?

Enjoy the rest of your vacation, thank you for letting us follow along.:)

It was Romeo and Juliet Travel out of Zadar. They did a great job and our guide was great!

Sorry for being behind in posting - this cruise is crazy busy and wasn’t feeling real hot for about 24 hours. Sea day was wonderful just a lot of relaxing and drinks :). Just love listening and watching the wake! e3c5a6fa8d65184c4335b521af66fcc5.jpg10de47893012d7d9c174925df460e510.jpgac907f160a9ddd6e5656b78eee4437dd.jpgb15203ccc241259a71bcb0bb0d67988d.jpgdf1520845dbe267797b19f4d8063c3fc.jpg
