Conch

Asking for someone else.I have been to Nassau more times ,then I can count,but usually either:

 

stay on the ship

 

 

 

OR take the jitney out of the port area.

 

So,if someone wants conch,whether it be fritters,cracked,salad,whatever..........where would you tell them,that they can go within walking distance....

If they walk down to Junkanoo Beach, keep walking past that to the end, there is the "Fish Fry". They serve the most amazing Conch(((according to anyone we've gone with, I'm highly allergic to shellfish))). If it's at the right time you can watch as they swim down to catch and bring up some of the shells with the Conch inside. Lol, our son and grandson love that part the most.

Good timing. Travel & Liesure has an article this month about conch in the Bahamas w/ Jose Andres and he recommends McKenzie’s Fresh Conch in Potter’s Cay. There is a one pg article in the magazine.

McKenzies is where we always go..have been for years!!
