MTJSR Posted September 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2018 (edited) I took a drive into the city today and saw that the Emerald Princess was entering the bay. The Grand Princess and Holland America Volendam were already berthed. Here are some pics!. . http://s871.photobucket.com/user/mtjsr/media/IMG_0699.jpg.html] http://s871.photobucket.com/user/mtjsr/media/IMG_0701.jpg.html] http://s871.photobucket.com/user/mtjsr/media/IMG_0700.jpg.html] Edited September 30, 2018 by MTJSR

EastBay Cruisers Posted October 1, 2018 #6 Share Posted October 1, 2018 Thanks for these gorgeous photos ! Did you take them from Crissy Field and East Beach on Mason St.? Was there a tugboat escort ? I didn't see a tug, so maybe they brought a pilot on board before they sailed underneath the bridge. Thanks again, from EBC :D

MTJSR Posted October 1, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted October 1, 2018 Beautiful photos! That poor woman in the parka cracked me up. As they say Mark Twain said [he didn't]: "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." Lol I noticed her and others getting blown around. Fortunately it was a very nice day today but rain is possible for the next two days.

I have some photos of ships that I stored on Shutterfly. But, I don't know how to post them on Cruise Critic. Could you give me some simple directions to post my photos on Cruise Critic?? Everyone posts lovely photos, and I can't figure it out. Would greatly appreciate some help. ;p. Sorry to threadjack. But your photos are really cool. -- EBC

As they say Mark Twain said [he didn't]: "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." Yeah, we've done the 10-day Alaska cruise a few times. In general, sailaway from San Francisco is waaay colder than Alaska. :p
Cruize Posted October 1, 2018 #13 Share Posted October 1, 2018 Much prefer being on the ship taking photos compared to taking photos of the ship;) Cheers, Paul

On the right you will see different formats you can share. I copy and paste the "IMG string in the body of my post" See pic below. Cruise Critic requires the "IMG" Hope this helps! MTJSR Posted October 2, 2018 Author #21 Share Posted October 2, 2018 We were in SF for dinner last night (10/1) and she was still there. Rather surprising, actually. The Emerald was doing an overnight in San Francisco while on a Pacific Coastal cruise. A little rare like you are suggesting. The Explorer of the Seas berthed at Pier 27 and the Volendan at Pier 35 North was also doing overnights. We will be on the Oct 19th cruise as well, 17 more days... I can hardly wait!!!Thanks for the beautiful pics!!! Sent from my iPhone using Forums I wish I was on the October 19th cruise, I'm actually on the December 19th Hawaiian cruise. Have a great time and I would love to hear your thoughts when you get back. Mark

That makes sense, except that if it docked on the 30th, we saw it as late as 7:30 pm on the 1st. Usually, ships on an overnight leave around 4-5 pm on the second day. I did see the Explorer, but not the Volendam.
