Putterdude Posted October 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 1, 2018 Do they have good eating areas and last min shopping We have stayed there and found the room to be very quiet and comfortable. The lobby was dated but I believe they have updated it in the last year or so. They do (or did) offer free airport pick up and to the cruise port. Shopping was not particularly handy however there is a great Italian restaurant kitty corner to the hotel, called Petrinis http://petrinis-sandiego.com/ Enjoy! Kartgv Posted October 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 2, 2018 What cruise line? Every cruise line we've ever sailed offers bottled water for sale. Princess, and possibly some others, offers a very reasonable package (12 small bottles for about $9) that you can pre-order for delivery to your room. You can also take your own refillable bottle and drink the tap water - completely safe and pure, tastes fine especially if you chill it in the cabin frig. DaveOKC Posted October 3, 2018 #9 Share Posted October 3, 2018 snacks. water...or can you order water bottles on board There is a Rite Aid drugstore between Little Italy and the pier (only a few blocks from Little Italy). We get our wine and snacks from there.

We get our wine and snacks from there. The Rite Aid is good for snacks, water and sodas. Yes the wine selection is good, Little Italy is an upscale residential area, but you can do even better at the Wine Bank, Albertson's and Vino Carta. azmar Posted October 20, 2018 #12 Share Posted October 20, 2018 We've stayed at the Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel on Harbor Blvd. If you're driving you can park for free during the length of the cruise and they have a shuttle to and from the cruise port. There are some nice restaurants right across the street at the yacht harbor.

Thanks I don't know of any nearby places with dancing, but some places nearby that I can suggest for dining include these: Old Venice (Italian) Mitch's Seafood (casual) Point Loma Seafood (very casual) Pizza Nova Supannee House of Thai Miguel's Cocina (Mexican) The Brigantine (Shelter Island location) Fiddler's Green (Irish pub type food) Humphrey's (a little further away, good food, more upscale) I don't recommend the Bali Hai. Great view, so good for drinks, but their food tends to be disappointing. You are also not far from Liberty Station, which has a ton of restaurants. Check to see if your hotel has a shuttle here; if not, it is not an expensive Uber or even taxi there.
