There was a recent discussion about the new luxury beds which were scheduled to be added in 2019.  It was posted that they’ll now be replaced during the early December shipyard maintenance wet dock.

This doesn't relate to the Royal, but we were on her sister ship, the Regal, last month. Wow-- those beds were hard as rocks. I like a firm mattress, but the Regal cots are kind of like sleeping on a concrete floor.

I'm on the Regal now. The Future Cruise Consultant said the Royal and Regal are the only ships that do not have the luxury beds throughout. Just full suites and Club Class minis.

 

I would add, however,  that our Regal bed is just fine, not rock hard like EastBay Cruisers had.

No new beds when we were on the Royal last month
