Divina casino questions

I searched but didn't see the info I was hoping to find.

Going on my first MSC cruise in December on Divina.  Did I read that the casino on that ship is non-smoking?  That would really make me happy!  I've mostly sailed Carnival and they've taken a giant step backward and gone from having some non-smoking slots and tables to the entire casino now allowing smoking. :classic_sad:

It also looks like I can simply use my card in the slots to download funds.  I did not see that there was any charge for this.  Can someone confirm that this is the case?  It was an unpleasant surprise to discover on my first NCL cruise this past spring (14-night TA) that they charged a fee to do this.  Carnival and HAL only charge the fee at the tables, not the slots.

How about the tables on MSC ( play Roulette)?  Can I charge to my card there without paying a fee?

Speaking of Roulette, do they have the European or US wheels?  I love my green 0 and 00!

Just trying to figure out how much cash I'll need to bring.  And since this is a Caribbean sailing, everything on board will be USD, right?

Thanks!

When I sailed Divina last year, half of the casino area was designated non-smoking, however with the air circulation it didn't make that much of a difference.

Everything was priced in US dollars.  There's no ATM on board .  I can't remember being able to use the room card for the slots but maybe they have upgraded the technology.

There is definitely smoking in the casino, and I couldn't tell that half was non-smoking last week.

Everything was in US dollars. I got cash with my card in a slot machine and cashed out. I was not charged a fee.

Half casino was smoking as people said but it was enforced sparingly - unless someone complained. If someone is smoking in the non smoking section just let the host know and they will stop it. Our friends were told they could smoke as long as it didn't bother anyone. Honestly I hate smoke and I felt the ventilation was very good.

Got off the ship two days ago, and there is definitely no charge to charge your Cruise card money. Not at tables or slots.

Both the table roulette and electronic roulette (with real wheel) are American with 0 and 00.

Thanks for that info.  If the ventilation is good, then, hopefully, the smoke won't bother me too much.  I'm usually OK unless a smoker is next to me, holding their cig so the smoke comes straight up my nose.

I've never played at an electronic roulette table.  I'll have to give it a try.

Good to know I can use my card at the wheels.  Less cash to carry while travelling!
