Tips and tricks on getting your drink package upgraded please?

Hi folks, we booked an April cruise last January which came with a meal times drinks package. We'd like to upgrade to the easy package, the brochure price of our package is $18.50ppd while easy is $35ppd, so I want to pay the difference of $16.50ppd. This is how all the upgrades have been priced.

  How do I explain this to the MSC customer service agents, are there special upgrade codes, can it only be done by a supervisor? I would prefer not to lose my internet or on board credit though. The agents aren't very well informed, or they are really good at playing dumb.

 I know most people are upgrading from drinks on us to classic or deluxe, but the principle must be the same.

The code for the mealtime drinks package is 490.  Just tell the rep that you want to upgrade to 689.
