hhalliv Posted November 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2018 (edited) Hi Cruise Critics, I am finally getting around to try MSC, and had a weird question. When booking, the website shows a floor plan that includes a sofa, however, the 360 view on MSC and the pictures on Cruise Critic all show an ocean view stateroom with no sofa. I called MSC, and after the agent called a “specialist” she said all of the ocean view rooms have a sofa, but not all of them turn into beds. She seemed confident about it, but I’m just curious if anyone knows? Thanks in advance Edited November 30, 2018 by hhalliv
Até Posted November 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2018 (edited) I've not sailed Meraviglia yet but have been watching sailings I am booked on. The ocean views on deck 8 are smaller two person cabins, I don't think they have a couch. The ocean views on deck 5 are larger and have a couch, some are pull outs and some pull up into bunk beds. It used to be a Bella versus Fantastica thing, but don't use that criteria. There are some weird glitches with the deck plans and MSC is changing the classifications of many of these cabins for Summer 2019 sailings. If you are booking with only two people the website will push you into the deck 8 cabins, the two person ones on deck 5 fill up fast. The three and four person cabins on deck 5 will only come available for two people as the sail date approaches or as the other cabins on deck 8 are sold out. Sometimes you can call and get one booked when it's not offered online. Edited November 30, 2018 by Até
hhalliv Posted November 30, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted November 30, 2018 That’s what I thought...just wanted to make sure I wasn’t crazy! It’s a little scary that the MSC reps don’t know...
