Cruise Law  News reports a strike in San Juan today impacted cruise passengers. Departing passengers have been unable to retrieve their luggage and take taxis to the airport and arriving passengers have been delayed or unable to travel to the port due to the strikes. The current strike involves an organized protest against governmental cuts of employee benefits in Puerto Rico.

Please keep us updated on this current strike.

Once some years ago, taxi drivers in San Juan  were on a sort of a strike and would not go to the cruise port for those embarking/disembarking.  Basically striking going to the cruise port for some reason or other.

The cruise line provided us with a bus to get to the airport when we returned.  At that point we took a taxi from the airport elsewhere to have something to do before our evening flight  ... then returned later by taxi to the airport.
