PRINCESS PLATINUM VACATION PROTECTION QUESTION

We are Canadian citizens and are considering purchasing the Princess Platinum Vacation Protection for a upcoming cruise.  

 

Are there any Canadians who have purchased and used the trip cancellation or trip interruption features of the Princess Vacation Protection? 

Any issues making a claim as Canadians?

Any feedback you can provide would be appreciated.

Hi, 

We too are Canadian and purchase Princess insurance with the upgrade to Platinum (we are Platinum on Princess). 

 

We have not yet had to use the insurance (knock on wood!), but our travel agent who books our cruise and insurance, assures us that we qualify to buy and use it and no problem that we are Canadian.   The only issue I know of is that recently rules in Quebec changed and Princess insurance is no longer sold in Quebec.

We are Canadian and have used  Princess insurance. Twice we have had to cancel and have never had a problem. All money has been paid back  except for the cost of the insurance.

We have also had claims for medical issues on board that have been paid.

I've had it once-did not need to use it.

However, I suggest carefully reading the exclusions, fine print re: pre existing conditions, cruise credit, money refund parts of the policy.
