SethCruise Posted December 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2018 Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone, First time MSC customer here that would like opinions on two vacations I have my eye on. Same ship, the Seaside, just different itineraries. We are both mid 20s and fairly active if that changes anything. First vacation Second vacation Both are in the same month, I just wondered which has the more attractive stops. Thank you everyone for the advice! Rare Essiesmom Posted December 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 22, 2018 If you are looking to escape cold weather, I think you will have warmer temps on the first cruise, Western Caribbean. Temps in Nov. might make Ocean Kay in the Bahamas a little cool for swimming. EM
SethCruise Posted December 22, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted December 22, 2018 Thanks Essiesmom! If we were to go earlier in the year by a few months would Puerto Rico and Bahamas cruise be nicer than the Western Caribbean?
Rare Essiesmom Posted December 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 22, 2018 (edited) That would depend on what your interests are. If you just want to go to beaches or do active things, I would do the Western itinerary. I think of the Eastern itinerary as more history and shopping. But either is a great itinerary, and if you choose one now, you can do the other, or a variation of it, on another cruise. If I was your ages, I would do the Western and in Ocho Rios, climb Dunn's River Falls. Unfortunately, I'm your grandparents age...But we are doing that itinerary on Seaside in Feb. sfaaa Posted December 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 22, 2018 Both options are equally good if you haven't been to any of the ports.
