Taxi rates ?

So I found a site that states the taxi rates are a fixed rate per taxi not per person, yet I keep seeing that the rates to the beaches is about $8 per person.

Can anyone help me out and explain the cost?

$8.00 pp each way is for a shared "Mini-Bus" Taxi.  

Usually pax average about 8/10 per Bus.

 

"Taxi", as you may know it, is for a dedicated Taxi "Car" with max 4 persons.
