Uber SUV .. FLL hotel to Port Everglades

Wondering if going the Uber SUV route might work for us.  Party of 5 adults with 3 big suitcases and 4 carry on needing transfer from FLL hotel to Port Everglades. We will be getting to airport at home in a small SUV ... can’t imagine why this wouldn’t work in FLL.  Assuming the Uber SUV is an option?  Anyone with personal experience going this route?

The difference between your small SUV going to the airport and the ride from your FLL hotel to PE is the Uber driver takes up a seat! 

 

UberXL will work for your group - usually a large SUV or minivan.  Fare will be about the same as for a minivan/SUV taxi.

If for some reason, Uber doesn't work out, van taxis in Fort Lauderdale are plentiful and cost the same as a sedan taxi (probably a couple of dollars more than Uber/Lyft).

Assuming your hotel is near the airport the metered cab fare will be about $15+. UnreAL fare will be about the same. Your call.

I have a similar issue.  Looking for advice regarding how get a family of 6 with 6 large suitcases from FLL to the Embassy Suites or the Renaissance as well from the hotel to the port. Worried the Uber XL won’t be able to hold everything. Any advice on which transportation option to choose? Thank you!

Book private transport (Go Airport, Holland limo, Larry's limo, etc) or split up into 2 Ubers or taxis.
