Junkanoo Beach

I've been to Nassau countless times, and I'm embarrassed to say I've never been to  Junkanoo beach! I'd love to try it out on our next sailing. I have heard it is tricky to get there. Any directions recommendations? Also, any general info/tips & tricks?

Thanks!

It’s on West Bay Street, about a 15-20 minute walk from the cruise port.

It’s primary advantage is convenience, as it’s a small, tacky beach just past the Hilton. They have good drink specials if you drink a lot, but it’s certainly NOT a scenic beach with good snorkeling, etc. You can rent chairs and umbrella’s.

It’s certainly not on our list of places to see before you die.
