Rare barbiecruiser27 Posted January 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2019 I've been to Nassau countless times, and I'm embarrassed to say I've never been to Junkanoo beach! I'd love to try it out on our next sailing. I have heard it is tricky to get there. Any directions recommendations? Also, any general info/tips & tricks? Thanks! CILCIANRQTS Posted January 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2019 It’s on West Bay Street, about a 15-20 minute walk from the cruise port. It’s primary advantage is convenience, as it’s a small, tacky beach just past the Hilton. They have good drink specials if you drink a lot, but it’s certainly NOT a scenic beach with good snorkeling, etc. You can rent chairs and umbrella’s. It’s certainly not on our list of places to see before you die.
mjkacmom Posted January 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2019 My fami,y walked over there once when our ship missed the private island and docked early in Nassau, not impressed at all.
