Pool Deck-Maya Chan Resort?

Hey all! We will be in Costa Maya 3/7/19 and just received an email from Maya Chan Resort that it’s all booked except for the new pool deck area.  Has anyone seen this new area? Is it worth it or should we switch to another excrusion? (Recommendations welcome!) thanks!

The pool deck wouldn't be terrible but it's not on the beach.  If you are looking for a beach spot then you may be disappointed as the pool deck doesn't have a great beach view and it's a small deck area, though very private/in the jungle type feel - kind of neat. If you find that you would spend a lot of time at their bar, massages, swimming in the ocean, kayaking, etc.... then you may not care if your "home base" is on the pool deck.  It's up to you if that's a deal breaker or not.
