Finding responses

Is there some quick way to get to responses?  When I open the threads a black box appears saying something like "you have 4 new responses" and I have no idea how to get to them quickly, I do not see anything to click on.

It's a shame what has happened to this website which is no longer user friendly and I am a retired federal employee who taught software.

On a desktop, go to the top of the page and click on the notification icon (a bell). It should include a red circle with the number of pending notifications.

 

On a mobile, go to the top of the page (tap search, magnifying glass, twice) and tap on the menu icon (three horizontal bars) on the right side of the blue page toolbar. (It may have a red circle with a count.) When the menu opens, tap on the bell icon, should also show a red circle with a count.
