Differences between the Carnival Vista and Horizon

What, if any, differences are there between the Vista and the Horizon. I thought they were both the same but was looking and it looks like only the Vista has the Kaleidoscope slide? Does anyone know if there are any differences? I'm not really meaning things like the color themes, just things that are distinctly different. We are trying to choose between the two and am wondering which would be better.

You can do a side-by-side comparison of up to three Carnival ships on their website. Go to the Carnival site then Explore Ships, then choose the Horizon and the Vista.

A few things I've read that are different:

• several more Havana cabins available on Horizon
• Guy's Pig & Anchor Pub & Brewery is also a sit down restaurant on Horizon, free at lunch but with a surcharge at dinner; it also replaces the Red Frog Pub
• Bonsai restaurant is on Horizon, not on Vista

I suggest you take bakersdozen12's advice and do a comparison on the Carnival site... it helped me a lot when I was deciding between Vista and the Breeze for our next cruise.

Horizon holds 40 more passengers

Horizon has the Teppanyaki

Horizon has the Guys Pig & Anchor BBQ/Brewhouse

Vista has the art exhibitions/seminars/auctions

Between the two-which has the itenerary that appeals to you most? That is how I would decide. 

 

We have only been on Horizon. Loved it. Assume I would also love vista, but we have family near the Miami port, so Horizon wins for us.
