indy71 Posted February 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2019 Hi! I was wondering if there is an area at Great Bay Beach where you could just spread a towel on the sand and enjoy an hour or two without renting beach chairs/umbrellas. We are paying for a party of 10 (extended family) and things add up quickly. Lol! If there is such a place, could you please describe its location? We plan to walk from the ship. Thanks so much for your help!
SnorkelAway Posted February 2, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2019 Yes. Just go to any area in which there are not chairs - between two concession areas where there are chairs should be fine - not in front of chairs toward water. Should be no problem to find. Beaches are public but operations with concessionary rights can stop you from parking yourself in their particular space.

meab Posted February 20, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2019 I was kind of wondering the same thing. I'll be traveling with several kids who will likely be in the water the whole time, or at least not lounging on a chair. I didn't know if I can just rent the umbrella/2 chairs at say, Holland House, if I am traveling with more than 2 people.
SnorkelAway Posted February 21, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2019 Sure. Sounds like it would make sense for you to just get a chair or chairs for adult or adults and let kids just be in water or on a towel on the sand. It is us old folks that need the chairs or lounges - kids normally do not really care that much.
