Pre cruise breakfast and provisions

We are staying at Pier 66 the evening before our cruise.  As we arrive late in the evening we will not have time to scope the area out before cruise morning.

While we could have breakfast in the hotel we need to get out to pick up one or two things before we head to port and will probably look for breakfast while doing that.  Can anyone please advise if there are any shops/malls within walking distance of the hotel where we could eat breakfast and pick up some wine/soft drinks/snacks etc before we head to the port.

Many thanks in advance.

Pier 66 is on the “other” side of a rather big bridge from shopping and restaurants. There is a very safe pedestrian section for crossing the bridge. It’s about a 10 minute walk.

There is a Walgreens at the base of the bridge kitty-corner from Pier 66.

You’re likely to run into some of the crew.

Thets a Panera Bread in the vicinity of where you’re looking to go, also a Starbucks. Total Wine is not far from Panera. There’s also a Publix grocery store, and they sell alcohol there too (at least they did a a handful of years ago when I was there).

See the attached pictures to get an idea of where you need to go. It may feel like a lot longer walk with a heavy bag of soda/wine though. The time estimate is walking. Maybe get an Uber if you are pressed for time that morning.

I understand that the tower section of Pier 66 was closed for renovations, but if it is back online again, see if you can request an upper floor room facing the main cruise ship "harbor", IOW looking SSE from the hotel. We were fortunate enough to have such an upper room on our stay at Pier 66 and the views were amazing. The evening views of the area were nice enough, but the next morning the giant flotilla of cruise ships had docked, or were arriving, and the scene was spectacular. The best start to on embarkation day we have ever had ;o)  Have a great cruise...
