Suggestions for last minute activity

We booked an extremely last minute cruise that stops in Bonaire which we have never been to before.  We are a couple in our 60s and do not snorkel.  Golf carts are fully booked.  Any suggestions?  Any catamarans without snorkeling?

We're in the same boat (perhaps literally--Koningsdam March 1?) having never been to Bonaire and a with last minute booking. I've done a lot of looking on the internet at excursions besides those from the cruise line and recommended sights.  There's a donkey sanctuary near Kralendijk, just a short cab ride away, a 14000 acre natural area at the north end of the island called Washington Shagbaai National Park that seems mostly undeveloped and the pictures of the coastline are beautiful.  Goto Lake has a Flamingo nesting area which I understand is visible as a pinkish tinge at the far end of the lake when you take a tour to the slave cabins on the shore.  We looked into renting a car for the day, but the rental agencies in town have a three day minimum rental so now we're trying to put something together on our own.

We were there 2 weeks ago. We took a short taxi ride to Solorbon Beach.

Umbrellas, chairs and food..very relaxing.

We did a glassbottom boat ride through the cruise ship. It picked us up right at the cruise dock. We saw more on that short ride than I ever did snorkeling. We are going back this March and doing it again.

Rent a car from Hertz.com  they let you rent cars for the day.  We paid about 60.00 and did both the north and south ends of the island.  We booked ahead online.

That's what we are doing. Did Hertz give you a map or any sightseeing tips? Or do you have a place you recommend we not miss? We will be with our 9 and 11 year old too.

Take the kids to the donkey sanctuary as a stop. My kids were 12, 14, and 20 and absolutely loved it. Its good for a pit stop for an hour or 2.

Definitely take the kids to the landsailing track ... the whole family will have a blast!
