Taxis at pier?

Will taxis be readily available at the pier or should we arrange someone to meet us? We need to get to Nanny Cay marina to meet our day boat. What about on the return from Nanny Cay back to the ship? We don’t want to be stuck trying to get back on time! Thanks in advance!

There will be taxis at the pier, no worries. You can also let the ladies at the information center know you are going to Nanny and they can direct you to a driver since it is not where the shared safari taxis go...

Your excursion operator should be able to ensure a driver is there upon your return...

Thanks blue_water-we'll look for the information center when we get off the ship.  Unfortunately our excursion operator has left us on our own to figure it out, but we'll see if our outbound driver might be able to pick us up on the return.

Are the taxis regulated?  I’m cruising with 2 girlfriends. Usually I’m with my husband and not too worried. We’d like to go to Soper’s Hole and then around to the beaches. Safe enough?  Thanks so much. 

Has Soper’s  Hole recovered from the Hurricanes?

Definitely safe, and yes taxi fares are regulated. An example of taxi fares for 3 people would be $12pp to Soper's Hole, $12pp to CGB, and $8pp back to the dock. So for one beach stop (and a nice ride along a couple of the north shore beaches) it would be $96 + tip total.

 

If you want a private driver Arnold is excellent and his price would be close to or better if considering a few stops...nice way to go!
