Current state of Black Card- Voyagers Club

We are preparing to disembark our cruise on Meraviglia today.  We have had a very interesting cruise and onboard experience.

Regarding our experience with Voyagers Club on board, not so good.

-Never received invitation for Welcome Aboard cocktail party and complementary  onboard photo.

-Never received chocolate ships.

We were not able to attend Black Party as I was busy trying to straighten out our travel arrangements. Went up 40 minutes late, and clean up was all that was happening.  Thinking that ships might show up after dinner, not.  Perhaps in the morning??  No.

-Received invite for Black Party morning of day of and same for Free Dance Class. This was last day of cruise.

-Card for Speciality Dinner-  arrived in Cabin on day 5 of 7 day cruise.

Went down to desk this morning to inquire. Wa told she would be there at 10:30 am.  Came back around 10:40, and was told she would not actuallly be available until 4pm.  We are disembarking at 2pm so , no luck getting our missing items.

Oh well.

This is not "The Current State of The Voyagers Club"  but rather a reflection of the Ineptitude of a particular Voyagers' Club Rep.

The rep is responsible for organizing ALL the events listed above. They are also the future cruise consultant and as such are very highly paid.

I suggest that you and should contact MSC and complain about the said consultant and point out they are doing MSC a great deal of customer dissatisfaction

I agree with Peter.  We were first timers who were given Black card status and the rep on the Divina remembered everything including all the free gifts, invitations, and the dance class, all the way to the arrangements for my husband's free and incredibly delicious birthday cake.

Good to know that our experience was a “one off”.  Must say that our disembarkation was very impressive. Escorted off ship by asst Butler all the way to waiting car service. Concierge crew on MSC have been very impressive. Made our cruise a lovely experience. ( more on this to come)

now, off to London, for a one week holiday.

Sorry to hear this , good to hear you enjoyed YC.

Our first experience of Black card status Match was wonderful 2 years ago, the Prosecco and chocolate dipped fruit  were in the cabin on embarkation. The invitations to the various events came through quickly .

Since then things have gone down hill due to the numbers now of Black card Voyager club members. On Seaview we did not receive the Prosecco til the penultimate night, excuse was the ship is so big they only deliver now on one day  to all Black card members , fair enough . I did comment that it felt like a “ sad to see you go” bottle of Prosecco rather than a “ welcome aboard “ 😆.

We received an e.mail from MSC before our last cruise listing all our  benefits and are now experienced enough to know what we should be getting .

Skier is right, it is the responsibility of the rep onboard to make sure everything is done in a timely manner.

There was an offer for $99 onboard. This got you 10 8x10 prints, 1 16x20 canvas and 1 photo album. I don't recall when this offer appeared in our room or walking past the photographer.

Sorry, this was a thumb post! Wrong thread. Too late to delete!!
