I Luv Crusin Posted January 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2006 I've purchased my DH a tux and several shirts and accessories. He has always worn his dress shoew with his tux but is now considering buying "tux" shoes. Does this complete the look or is it not necessary? Thanks! tinsel57 Posted January 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2006 I guess it depends on the alternative choice! Does he have good looking black dress shoes or are we talking sneakers and docksiders???!!
I Luv Crusin Posted January 22, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted January 22, 2006 He does have dress shoes. He was looking at leather patent shoes.
Andee Posted January 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2006 I like the traditional look of black patent leahter slip on shoes with a tux.
johnql Posted January 22, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2006 I don't think it's necessary to wear patent leather shoes with a tux, but I do think they look nicer than "regular" dress shoes.
Rare Keith1010 Posted January 22, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 22, 2006 Either way is fine. I usually bring my leather patent tux shoes when we cruise but once in a while if we are concerned about how much luggage we are taking I have a black dress shoe that I can get away with for both formal and semi formal nights. Either way is fine. Most people won't notice as long as he is wearing nice looking dress shoes. Again, I prefer wearing the patent leather ones but there is no right or wrong answer here.
