11:15 AM flight from Rome

We return to Civi on the Celebrity Constellation on Tues Oct 1. we are thinking of booking an 11:15 AM flight back to NY thru Dublin on Aer Lingus. Do you think we can make this flight if we order private transportation to FCO?

Yes. Commonly discussed here flights after 10:30 are fine...in your case it is a "domestic" flight, which makes the security and Immigration procedures easier and faster.

Not exactly "domestic" Bruce. Rep of Ireland isn't a Schengen country, so its usual international immigration routine / passport control between Italy and Rep of Ireland.

But yes, it's short-haul so latest check-in usually about an hour before the flight (but do check Aer Lingus' latest check-in) Subject to any significant delays at security, so best to go straight to airside as soon as checked-in.

Done that Aer Lingus flight several times. No problems. Only 'spanner' may be passport control and your passport. With EU passport we can use the e passport machines.

We will be getting that flight again on 21st April so will keep an eye on passport control lines and report back.

Yes, you can. We booked our return flight with Flights by Celebrity (Choice Air) leaving FCO at 10:50 AM. I doubt they would have booked this if there wasn’t sufficient time to travel from Civitavecchia to FCO following disembarkation. So you should have no problem with an 11:15 AM departure. Safe travels.
