Rare GeezerCouple Posted March 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2019 We'll be taking private transportation to Carcassonne before a cruise. (DH has never been there, and it's been on my "He *must* see it" list for decades!) I have some mild mobility issues, and I realize that we won't be able to be driven right up to the city center, like I was able to do in the "old days". Is there any kind of transportation - a bus, van, or ? - that we could use to get to the town center, and then back out several hours later? I tried emailing the tourist agency there, but apparently the language problems interfered with exactly what we were trying to find out. Many thanks! marazul Posted March 28, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2019 You will probably be dropped off at the Port (Gate) Narbonnaise. From there to the center of town is 2-3 minute walk. Mild mobility should not be an obstacle.
