"Laundry Special" question - scheduling estimates

Anybody know how the "laundry bag specials" get scheduled on a 12 night cruise? I'm on the Star departing on May 12th, and I want to pack suitably lightly.

Usually around the mid point in the cruise -

i.e. 7 day cruise would be hump day -

on the 12 night cruise guessing it could be 6th or 7th day -

on some of the longer cruises the bag deal maybe offered more than once

For sure once on board ask about it -

General rule of thumb - in by 9 am (give to cabin attendant) back next day at 4 pm

Need something in a hurry rush - there is always the express same day service (surcharge applied)

Also take a small vial of laundry detergent and you can supplement by doing

in cabin bathroom sink items - underwear and sox t-shirts etc.

In the shower or tub facility look for the retractable line for drying clothing.

Air drying using the in cabin hair dryer on low speed.

Need an iron (and board) ask your cabin attendant.

I was on a 10-day cruise and the bag of laundry special was offered two times:  3rd day in (too soon) and 7th day in (laundry may not come back until the last day...too late to wear, but good if you don't like to pack dirty clothes).

This was a few years ago, so maybe they have a better system now on longer cruises.

Typically twice day 3 or 4 and again on day 7 for a 10 day. I've used them on every cruise. Beats bringing home a mountain of laundry for a family of 4. Also they press everything so nicely! The only thing to watch out for is the ID tags every piece gets labelled with. The sooner you remove them the easier they come off.

Looks like I can "mostly" count on a Day 3 or 4, then, with a fallback of using the per-item sheet and my trusty Woolite & rubber clothesline. Thanks all!

On the Bliss they send the slip around the 3rd or 4th day, but it said valid for the whole cruise. We did laundry a week in, they picked up the basket after 12pm and we had the laundry back the same day around 7pm. I was impressed.

Does the 50% off lattitudes benefit apply to that bag promo, or does that only apply to the individual prices per item.

50% off applies to the total bill of the bag - so in a way it would be half of the price on each item

My bet would be on a "NO" -

Rule of thumb no discounts allowed on already discounted services.

 

But you can try !

 

The Bag deal at $19.95 is a heck of a bargain considering

taking 5 items on the laundry list and you are at that point already.

So stuff that bag for all it is worth !

If you are platinum you can send your laundry in for your free bag any day.

I sent my laundry in on the second day of a seven day cruise and had it back

by turndown the next day. This was on the Jade.

The coupon for the $19.95 bag special was mid week and it would be back

by the time we only had one day left of the cruise.

Won't be platinum until the end of our upcoming sailing.
