Coach transfers from Civitavecchis to Fiumicino.

Has anyone taken the ships transfer from the Civitavecchia to the Airport with Celebrity and if so what is the cost pp, approx. travel time and do the coaches have a toilet ?

 

We have a midday flight on our way home and previously had a bad experience on the motorway back from Rome, thankfully on a ships tour, which arrived at the port well after ships supposed sailing time.

We find it much cheaper to have a taxi pre booked than using ships transfers.

Yes, we did this a few years ago.  We paid in Canadian $, but forget exactly how much.  It only takes about 1 hour (depending on traffic, it could take longer) so our bus did not have a toilet.  Honestly, as Leesre said, book a taxi before you leave.  Much quicker and less money.  You could try Rome In Limo or Bob's Limo, both are highly rated, if you prefer a private car.

As I recall the ships transfer is very expensive. Check your roll call. Often people are looking to share rides. We shared a mini van last time we cruised out of Rome and saved a lot.
