Banti Posted April 21, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2019 We are thinking of booking a 14 day Alaska cruise out of Seattle in June 2020. We do the inside passage up, and the outside passage back down. We would like to do as much sightseeing as possible from our balcony, rather than the upper decks. Is there a preferred side of the ship that we should try to book? I don’t really know anything of the geography of the area. Thanks, Betty

Thanks, Betty Betty the starboard side all the way to Hubbard.Glacier You will transit the inside passage narrows in the dead of night and see zip Sight seeing will start dawn of day 2. June will be early in Alaska you man NOT get close to the Hubbard till August this year..... ( cold and snow year above normal) However, on the regatta the best place is in Horizons or on deck because the view from a balcony, while good only lets you see 30% of the grandeur in its full scale context.....get out of the cabin as much as possible. Seriously I book insides to Alaska because it does just that...get me out to fully appreciate One note.... try to do dinner on the terrace cafe on departure Seattle its magical on the first evening
