Land Tour Laundry Question-Yukon Y5C

We are hoping to limit what we bring on our upcoming Alaska-Yukon-Denali Y5C Sea and Land Tour on HAL.  We are cruise first and usually love having the laundry service on board (stuff the bag!) on sea cruises...Are there comparable options to have laundry done on the land portion?  We have two nights in Dawson and Denali so there would be time, perhaps, if there is on site laundry, or do the hotels HAL uses have a laundry service for guests?  Or does HAL provide any options?  Thank you!

If you're concerned about a particular hotel, go to https://www.westmarkhotels.com. They are all owned by HAL. Since you'll only be there a night or two, I'm pretty sure there's no laundry service. You may have to download the fact/info sheet for each one to get the info,.

We did the three-night Alaska-Yukon trip a couple of years ago, and planned to use the laundry in Dawson, since it was at the halfway point. We started in the new building across the street from the lobby and restaurant, and it had some very small washers and dryers (about the size of a microwave). The front desk staff told us there were full-size machines off a hallway behind the front desk. We managed to wash and dry during dinner, a definite advantage (the on/off switch for the Northern Lights is there, too). Good luck!

I think we bought a small box of detergent, either in the laundry room or from the nice folks at the front desk. Don't forget you'll be in Canada, so you'll need Canadian quarters. Not sure what the exchange rate is now, but we got $130 in currency and coin fir $100US at the front desk.

You didn't ask, but if you're looking for a good place to eat (beside the quite-good restaurant at the hotel), The Aurora Inn Restaurant is a block from the main building and is very good. As an aside, we were very happy to get yummy local fish the entire 14 days of our trip. The only time it wasn't prepared perfectly was the hotel in Whitehorse.

Enjoy your trip.

We were on the 20 day Land/Sea a couple of years ago (two weeks on land and then a one week cruise from Seward to Vancouver) and we used the hotel self-service laundromats as needed.  Sometimes the machines were very busy so it can take up some valuable free time.  Once we boarded the Noordam, we signed up for the unlimited laundry package for the one week cruise and sent out several bags of laundry the first night (our cabin steward brought us extra laundry bags when I mentioned that we had a lot of laundry.)  Well worth the flat fee for the week.  We're now 4* Mariners so have free laundry which, for us, is the best benefit of all.
