Tremont hotel to carnival freedom

I'm cruising with a recent knee injury and was going to rent a scooter. We're flying in the day before and will arrive at noon. My concern is to rent the scooter the day before so I can enjoy galveston(if I can ride it on the sidewalk) or have it delivered to the stateroom day of the cruise. 

 

Would it be difficult to ride the scooter from Tremont Hotel to the cruise terminal? Dont know anything about Galveston...

Lots of variables . First Tremont has transfers to /from terminal .  Assuming you can walk a little , even though terminal is couple of blocks away , I would still , let them transfer you to everywhere else you may want to go . 

 

Have them deliver scooter to cabin on your check in  .
