Best Pre-Cruise Hotel in Miami to watch ships

Hello,

 

We are doing a cruise in December & I’m looking for hotel suggestions in Miami where we can watch the ships the day before (something not too crazy expensive 😀) or even a hotel that is near a bar/restaurant in walking distance to watch the ships.

Holiday Inn Port Miami, Intercontinental Miami, Double Tree Biscayne Bay. You'll need to get a room with the right view though facing the bay. 

 

Or, just stay where you wish and head to South Pointe Park in South Beach. You can almost touch the ships as they pass by. The best place there is to watch the ships leave port. Grab a drink or late lunch at Smith and Wollensky.

The Mondrian South Beach.

 

I love Smith & Wollensky.  Montys next door is also good and half the price.  Not as good a view.
